The Challenge

Mammut realized they were missing out on valuable information about the preferences, motivations, and impulses of not only their brand-loyal customers, but also casual and prospective new customers. Mammut wanted to build direct and personal relationships with their customers.

 

The Solution

The Smart Cosmos team worked with Mammut to design a practical and effective overall solution. NFC transponders are strategically embedded into Mammut’s line of premium jackets and backpacks at the point of manufacture. Mammut enables the NFC tags, giving every garment a unique digital identity, thus digitizing their products. After purchasing a product, a consumer taps the NFC chip with their smart phone and is directed to download the Mammut Connect app.
